LG G Watch Play Store

We know you might be one of those unhappy at Motorola for the bad timing, and keeping the status of Moto 360 smartwatch as still – coming soon. But for the fans of Android Wear, the OS for smart watches, there are two devices already available for order on the Google Play Store – LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live.

While the LG G Watch was first unveiled when Android Wear was introduced to the world, Samsung made a surprise entry and the Gear Live smartwatch was announced at the Google I/O 2014, and in a few days, the smartwatch would start shipping too. Check below for the availability and pricing details of these two smartwatches powered by Android Wear OS.

LG G Watch Pricing & Availability in US & India

LG G Watch Play Store

The smart watch is going to be shipped from July 3rd, and you can order it straight away from Google Play Store, for the pricing of $229. In the Indian Play Store, the pricing set for the G Watch is Rs. 14,999 but the shipping would start from July 8th.

Color options available: Black Titan and White Gold.

Samsung Gear Live Pricing & Availability in US & India

Samsung Gear Live Play Store

While the Gear Live is cheaper than G Watch for the customers in US, it is priced a bit high for the Indian customers. The pricing set for the Samsung Gear Live is $199 in the US Play Store, while, in the Indian one, it is priced at Rs. 15,990. The availability is said to be from July 8th in US, and in India, the watch would be shipped from around 3rd week of July 2014.

The only reason one wouldn’t be totally happy to go ahead and purchase one of these, is that Moto 360 is still not far away, and out of the three smart watches running Android Wear OS, Moto 360 is the only one with a circular watch face. That gives a completely different look, making it more natural than these two. Samsung hasn’t done much to bring out the Gear Live, as we can see the design being similar to the Gear 2 (smart watch powered by Tizen OS), but LG G Watch, although, looks good, it isn’t the best in attraction.

Before you purchase one, do check if your Android phone is compatible with Android Wear smartwatch.
