HTC's Android Wear SmartWatch with Metal Body Leaked via Evleaks – Details

HTC was one of the brands that were out of any mentions at the Google I/O 2014 event when Google talked a lot about Android Wear while launching this OS for the smartwatches, and it was LG (LG G Watch), Samsung (Samsung Gear Live) and Motorola in focus. But that doesn’t mean HTC is out of the league. They are for sure coming up with a smart watch which would run Android Wear OS, and the Taiwanese company is still planning it out. Evleaks, the prominent source for leaks of the new gadgets, has given a preview of the upcoming HTC smartwatch.
Now, here’s the interesting part. It isn’t an image from HTC or the direct picture of the watch, but it is the artistic reproduction of the device. Something that Evleaks has made based on either what HTC has showcased or after they had a look at the device being made in the production house. Whatever the case, the design is alleged to be accurate enough to let you know how HTC’s Android Wear smartwatch is going to look like.
Android OS was all about customizations, but would the Android Wear allow it to that extent, would be known when the smartwatch from HTC is out. Because, the onscreen content shown in the picture represents something different from what Google is giving, though Google isn’t letting the partners play around with the UI a lot.
It is good to find that HTC is retaining its concept of using metal instead of other material, just like in the high-end smartphones. The strap looks elegant, and this metal finish would give the smartwatch an edge over the competitors. But again, we all know how much the world is waiting for Motorola to come up with the round watch face in the Moto 360 smartwatch! Still, Motorola has just kept promising, and we aren’t sure when the watch would make its entry. Probably along with the next Nexus when the Android L for smartphones is launched? Let’s see how it goes and wait for HTC’s official word on this.
