Reliance Jio LYF 4G Water 1, Water 2, Water 3 & Earth 1 Smartphones Launched

Reliance has big plans for its 4G network services in India, which we have been hearing for a long time now. But the time had finally come when Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industry forays into the communication platform, the Reliance Jio. In similar news, the Reliance Retail, a retail subsidiary of Reliance Industries is going to launch four new LTE-enabled smartphones in India.

These 4G smartphones were expected in the festive season of Diwali, which was last month. It is never too late to announce anything new these days. Now it has been stated that the smartphones under LYF brand have been launched. There are total four smartphones aptly named; LYF Water 1, LYF Water 2, LYF Water 3 and LYF Earth 1 are released by the brand.

Currently, these handsets are rolled out to its employees and would soon be available to the customers. The company plans to sell these handsets via their Reliance Retail stores as well as online. The partnership talks are going on with leading eCommerce websites like Flipkart and Snapdeal.

These handsets are powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, which clocks at 1.5GHz and it has a support of Adreno 405 GPU while the RAM is unknown for these handsets. Sporting a 10 point multi-touch screen, LYF Water 3 would be costing around Rs 16,799. Other three handsets would be have 5 points multi-touch screen, they all would be differentiated by the screen, but unfortunately, the details are little scarce.

All the LYF branded smartphones would have great camera configuration ranging from 13MP to 15MP for rear cameras while the front camera would be at least 5MP. These handsets are powered by Android Lollipop, but only Water 1 and Earth 1 would be coming with 5.1.1 version while it would be coming up with 5.0.2 version. You would be seeing a lot of pre-installed services in the form of Jio apps on these handsets.

Regarding connectivity, the devices would be supporting all GSM bands and certain limited bands like UMTS WCDMA, LTE-FDD band3 and LTE- TDD BAND40. They also support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB port. The battery capacities that you see on these handsets would be ranging from 2400mAh and 3500mAh. The LYF Water 1 and LYF Water 2 are priced at Rs 17399 and Rs 15,499 respectively while the LYF Earth 1 would be available for sale at Rs 25,800.
