Cherry Flare J1 & Flare Lite 2 Smartphones Launched in Philippines

Cherry Mobiles, a big mobile vendor in the Philippines, has launched two new handsets; Flare Lite 2 and Flare J1, they’re priced at Php 1,999 and Php 2,999 respectively. These two handsets come under the budget category and sports decent specifications for the price. The company is known to offer the pocket friendly smartphone in their home country and these two handsets are addition to the list.

The brand is also a partner with Google for the Android One initiative taken by the Sundar Pichai, earlier Android Division Head, who is now the CEO of Google Inc. The smartphone that we are talking about in this initiative is similar to the Android One handsets in India, Karbonn Sparkle V, Spice Dream UNO and Micromax Canvas A1. Of course, the design is different of each handset in this program, but the specifications have been kept under Google guidelines.

Talking about the Flare Lite 2, the device sports a small 4-inch WVGA (640 x 480 resolutions) display which is not much to be argued with. While you get a 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage to support the Quad-core (unknown chipset) processor clocking at 1.2GHz. The storage space can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot.
