The devices would be in the price range of Rs 5000 to Rs 25000 under their Consumer Electronics brand Reliance Retail where they are already selling devices under the name “Reconnect”.
According to a Tip we received, the following is an actual unit that Reliance is testing Internally and would soon launch it in the country. There are already 1 Lakh units of this device Imported into the country & we have heard that these would be shared internally with the Reliance Employees for the initial testing. Along with the K-Touch X1, Reliance is also expected to launch two other devices that are possibly from Alcatel & LG.

It comes with a 13MP Rear Camera along with a 5MP Front Camera. The Important feature is that the device is 4G LTE supported which is why it is selected by the Jio team. The device supports FDD-LTE 2600(B7)/2100(B1)/1800(B3) MHz, TD-LTE 2600(B38)/2500(B41)/2300(B40)/1900(B39) MHz, W-CDMA 2100(I)/1900(II)/900(VIII)/850(V) MHz, CDMA2000 800(BC0) MHz and GSM 1900/1800/900/850 MHz of network types and can support a maximum download speed of upto 150Mbps. It also supports Dual SIM Cards useful for those who like to keep a separate connection for the data usage.
In Terms of the price, the device retails at RMB 1099 in the China & that translates to around Rs 11000 which should be the estimated price of this Phone in India. Though there are many chances that Reliance would underprice this device and offer it as a bundle for its postpaid customers. One of the few advantages of waiting for the Jio services is that the users should be expecting Jio TV that could be Live TV, Jio Drive (Cloud Storage), Jio Mags, Jio Friends & Jio Beats as part of the offerings.
Sunil Bharti Mittal-led Bharti Airtel has already launched pan-India 4G services in the month of August in India with the services offering coverages in around 300 towns. On the same lines, Reliance had also done a beta launch on August 15th for their 4G bundled services but we are yet to hear on the public launch. There are confirmations that the services would be operational from December 2015, but that’s the news we heard in Dec 2014 too & are waiting to see the actual action to happen.
