Update: Oct 17, 2015 – We have received an official confirmation from Reliance Jio, Corporate Communications that this is not a brand which was speculated to be launched by Jio, but is an initiative from Reliance Retail.

Earlier: Oct 16, 2015 – Around 2 months back we had reported that Reliance is going to Launch K-Touch 4G Smartphones, but looks like with this recent announcement they are going to cater everything under a new brand name. The new smartphones will be launched under a new brand name called ‘LYF’ and will support 4G LTE connectivity. The device will be sold offline across India through multibrand outlets and Reliance digital stores.

According to a few reports these phones will be sold at a pricing below Rs 5000 onwards to cater the mass markets, again which is what has been the strategy from Reliance. The recent news of Ambani brothers joining hands for 4G services is another hint that the services are expected to launch around the year end.

Reliance Retail is now expanded upto 110 stores all over the country, which is also going to showcase & offer customers with an experience of their upcoming smartphone’s range. The LYF Brand will be offering LTE (VoLTE), Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWi-FI), HD Voice and HD quality video calling features through the Jio network services.
