India is awaiting for the launch of Reliance Jio’s 4G services ever since Jio has announced that its operations will get started by the end of 2015. But, the launch is getting delayed due to technical issues and the company announced the launch of services would take place in first quarter of 2016. And now, as everyone were expecting the launch in early march, it was postponed to mid-march and now to April 15th. A Kerala based partner / distributor of Jio has confirmed that the launch of Reliance Jio 4G services would likely to happen on April 15th 2016.
As this may be the prestigious launch for the Reliance, the company is ensuring the fine-tuning of the network by resolving all the technical and commercial issues. Surprisingly, Jio has covered its 4G signal strength to more than 1 lakh villages and 18,000 cities and towns. This could be a blow to the competitors like Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular who had coverage in 1,000 cities and 400 cities and towns respectively. Reliance Jio has a fiber network of 2.5 lakh km while Idea cellular has 1 lakh km.
By any means, RJio is likely to attract all the consumers across India to provide its 4G services. The four verticals of the Jio’s business would be ‘Device and SIM, ‘Personal WiFi’, ‘Home Broadband’ and ‘Public Hotspots’. Once the launch is done, the company is looking forward to expand the Jio’s fiber services to several cities in a year.
Reliance is expanding its operations in India by apart from the services as we have seen the recent launch of LYF Ultra HD Smart LED TV which is powered with Android 4.4. Also, long back we have seen the Reliance Jio expected launch of K-Touch X1 4G smartphone in India.
As of now, the postponement of the launch of its service in Kerala has been confirmed and so the people in other states and cities are looking forward to launch on April 1st as planned.
