We have seen manufacturers announcing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates for their devices. Earlier HTC, Motorola, LG, Huawei and OnePlus had officially announced the list of devices to receive the Marshmallow update. In that, Moto X 2014 and LG G4 had already got the latest Android update in selected markets. Asus is the latest manufacturer to join the league, the company had posted on its forums confirming the list of device to receive the Marshmallow update.

While there is no certain timeframe mentioned by the company, we expect it to be launched sometime in 2016. The devices to receive the update are listed below.

A couple of months ago, a rumored post suggested the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the all latest devices in the Zenfone series. At that time, it is also mentioned that 2014 launched ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, and ZenFone 6 will be receiving the Marshmallow update in the second phase, but the latest post on the forum hasn’t mentioned about these devices.

Recently, the leaked document confirmed the Marshmallow update for the high-end Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series devices. Talking about the official Marshmallow update, we may not find major changes in UI since Asus has its own UI called ZenUI. But the major additions will be Doze mode, app permissions, extended MicroSd card support and native API’s for fingerprint sensors.

If you are the user of Asus PadFone S or PadFone X, there is a chance to get the taste of Marshmallow flavor with the CyanogenMod 13.0 OS. Stay tuned for more updates!
