Korean LG G4 gets official Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update

As announced earlier, LG had finally released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the LG G4. Apart from the Nexus devices, the LG is the first manufacturer to released the Marshmallow update for their device. Recently HTC had launched the One A9 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. As of now the update was just limited to the G4 devices with model numbers LG-F500K, LG-F500L, and LG-F500S. Last month, LG also had beta tested the OTA for G4 devices in Poland.
Talking about the improvements of Android 6.0 Marshmallow on G4. It restricts the background apps from draining the data and battery life when the device was not used for a long time. The app permissions that was the basic features in Marshmallow can be seen on the updated G4 devices. Two of the LG’s own apps Q+ and LG Bridge are renamed as Memo Capture + and LG AirDrive.
The jumping through the letters while messaging or emailing can be controlled through the Spacebar on the keyboard, it works same as the Virtual Trackpad on latest iPhones. The International variants with model numbers LG-H810, LG-H815, LG-H818 and others will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the next couple of weeks.
