Motorola Moto X Play gets Official Marshmallow Update OTA – Change Log

Android 6.0 is the latest version of the Android and is named as the Marshmallow by Google. It was launched in the month of August and developer preview was available for few of the Nexus devices, i.e., Nexus 5 and Nexus 9. Later, in the month of October Google launched two new Nexus devices, i.e., the LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P with Android Marshmallow out of the box.
After the release of the new Update from Google, all the brands have started focusing on the Android 6.0 Update rather then releasing the Android 5.1 Update for their smartphones. You can also check the list of the device that may get the Android M Update by the end of 2015 or early 2016. As said above the brand are focusing on Android 6.0 Update, Motorola’s Moto X Play is one of those devices to get the Android 6.0 Update.
If you are using Moto X Play and didn’t get the Update notification yet you can check for the system update manually. To check for an update on your device, Open the settings and tap on About Phone in the System section. In the new window, tap on system Updates. The device checks for updates and the notification is displayed on your device.
The version number of the new update is 24.11.18.rn.03, and the size of the update is 582.9 MB. The highlights of the Update include the following

How to install the Update on your device?

Step 1: Open the settings and tap on About Phone.
Step 2: In the new window. Tap on System Updates. A new pop-up with the details of Updates appears on the screen.
Step 3: Now click on Yes, I’m in and select the Download Options by tapping on the check box and click on done button.
Step 4: Once the it is downloaded click on the install button.The device reboots and Android 6.0 is installed on your device.
