OPPO Reno Z with 6.4″ Waterdrop Notch Display Spotted Online

Last month, OPPO introduced the all-new Reno series by launching three new smartphones – OPPO Reno, OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, OPPO Reno 5G. While these devices are launched in China and Europe, the company will be launching them in the Indian market on May 28th. According to the latest reports, the company is getting ready to unveil an affordable Reno smartphone very soon in China. It was already listed on TENAA revealing the first look and key specifications.

While we expected it to be called as Reno Lite, the company might officially launch it as OPPO Reno Z. It will be available in Star Purple, Extreme Night Black, Coral Orange, and Bead White color options. Coming to the pricing, the base variant of the Reno Z will reportedly cost CNY 2599 (approx USD 380 / INR 26,500). On the design front, the rear of the device looks very much similar to the OPPO Reno smartphone. Since there is no shark-fin pop-up camera, the LED flash is placed next to the O-Dot ceramic point.

It comes with the same glossy finish body with no camera bump. On the front, the OPPO Reno Z sports a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it might come powered by the 12nm MediaTek Helio P90 octa-core processor. It is clocked at 2.2GHz and comes coupled with IMG PowerVR GM 9446 GPU. As per the TENAA listing, the device will be coming with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

There is no MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage on this device. In the camera department, the OPPO Reno Z sports 48MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the rear and a 32MP single selfie camera on the front. The company might use the same 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor offered with the other Reno smartphones. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with ColorOS 6.0 skin laid on the top. As seen on the other Reno smartphones, the Reno Lite also comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

It is backed by a 3,950mAh non-removable battery and supports VOOC 3.0 flash charge technology for 20W fast charging. The OPPO Reno Z measures 157.3 × 74.9 × 9.1 mm and weighs 186 grams. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.
