Honor will be launching 2019 flagship smartphones on May 21st in London. Just like OnePlus, Honor is also coming up with not one but two flagship smartphones. While the OnePlus 7 smartphones will be launched later today, the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro will be officially unveiled later this month. Now, the Honor 20 smartphone with the model number YAL-L21 is spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench. As per the listing, the device runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Under the hood, the device will come powered by the 7nm Kirin 980 octa-core processor. It is the world’s first SoC to feature Cortex-A76 core, Mali-G76 GPU, and also dual NPUs. While the tested device is equipped with 6GB of RAM, we also expect the device to come in 8GB and 10GB RAM variants. The YAL-L21 variant of the Honor 20 series has scored 3241 on single-core and 9706 on multi-core tests. The leaked renders confirm the devices to come with a 3D curved glass body.

As per the leaks, the device will be coming with a 6.26-inch punch-hole display with Full HD+ resolution and 91.6% screen-to-body ratio. The circular cut-out on the top left of the display features the 32MP front-facing camera. On the rear, the Pro variant will be coming with quad camera setup featuring a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the other hand, the 48MP Sony IMX586 camera on the Honor 20 is said to come with RYYB Filter.

The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones came with a 40MP RYYB primary camera. During the launch, the company mentioned this new sensor with RYYB filter will intake 40% more light for capturing better photos in low-light conditions. The Honor View 20 launched in December 2018 is the world’s first smartphone to sport Sony IMX586 sensor. According to the 3C listing, the Honor 20 smartphones will support 22.5W SuperCharge fast charging technology.

Both the devices will be coming with EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. Huawei recently announced the list of the devices to first receive the Android Q update later this year. While the company mentioned the Honor View 20 and Honor Magic 2 smartphones, the upcoming Honor 20 smartphones should also be receiving the latest Android update along with other Huawei and Honor flagship smartphones.
