OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, OPPO Reno & OPPO Reno 5G Launched in Europe

Earlier this month, OPPO unveiled the all-new OPPO Reno series in China. It launched the OPPO Reno, Reno 10x Zoom, and Reno 5G smartphones. Today, the company launching all these three OPPO Reno smartphones in Europe. The OPPO Reno 5G is the same OPPO Reno 10x Zoom smartphone but also sports Snapdragon X50 modem for 5G connectivity. Both the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom and Reno 5G comes with a 3D curved glass back with no protruding rear cameras. However, the company added the O-Dot ceramic point to protect the camera lens when the device is placed on a flat surface.

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom smartphones sports a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with no notch or bezel. It offers Full HD+ resolution and comes with a high 93.1% screen-to-body ratio. The front of the device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. OPPO also added DC dimming switch which enhances the display for better low-light usage. It also sports a new-gen in-display fingerprint scanner which increases the unlocking speed by 28.5 percent. Under the hood, the device comes powered by 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. It comes coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU.

Talking about the triple rear camera setup on the 10x zoom variant, there is a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor along with 13MP periscope-style telephoto sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. It also has dual OIS and triple focus for capturing stable photos even without a tripod. With the periscope-style telephoto sensor, the device covers 16mm to 160mm focal length to give up to 10x lossless zoom. The device also uses AI to offer clear images by using multi-frame noise reduction and HDR technologies. The device can record videos up to 4K resolution in 60fps.

It can record 3D audio which uses 3 microphones for surround sound effect. Both the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom and Reno 5G smartphones are backed by a 4,065mAh battery and supports VOOC 3.0 flash charge technology. Coming to the OPPO Reno, the device comes with the same design with shark fin pop-up selfie camera. However, it sports dual camera setup on the rear featuring 48 Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 and a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It also comes with a smaller 6.4-inch display but uses the same AMOLED panel and offers Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution.

It packs the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform built on 10nm FinFET node. The OPPO Reno is backed by a smaller 3,765mAh battery but includes VOOC 3.0 support. All the three devices come with the same 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 79.3-degree wide-angle view. The devices will be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie based ColorOS 6.0 out of the box. The company is also offering new-gen In-display fingerprint scanner which will unlock faster. They will be coming in Ocean Green and Jet Black color options.

Talking about the pricing and availability, the mid-range OPPO Reno is priced at EUR 499 (approx INR 39,000) and will be on sale starting May 10th. The OPPO Reno 5G will be exclusively coming to Switzerland with a price tag of EUR 899 (approx INR 70,400). However, the flagship OPPO Reno 10x Zoom smartphone will see a wider launch across Europe.
