OPPO F5 is the company’s latest smartphone in the F-series and will be soon launched in South-east Asia and India. It is the successor to the popular OPPO F3 launched in the first half of 2017. As seen on its predecessor, the device will continue to sport dual selfie cameras on the front. The OPPO F5 will be company’s first ever to feature a display with the longer 18:9 aspect ratio. Looking at the teaser images, we can confirm the device to come with a unibody metal design. As of now, there is no information about the launch of the OPPO F5 Plus smartphone.
From the last few weeks, we are seeing several leaks revealing few specifications about the OPPO F5 smartphone. Today, we got know complete hardware specifications of the device. On the front, the OPPO F5 will sport 6-inch FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It might come with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Though the Android 8.0 Oreo is already released, this new OPPO smartphone will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat based ColorOS out of the box. While there is no official confirmation, the smartphone might come powered by Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor.
The new leak mentioned it to feature 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card slot. In the camera department, the OPPO F5 might sport 20MP camera on the rear with LED flash and 12MP dual cameras on the front for selfies. It will be backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery along with VOOC fast charging support. While most of the high-end smartphones feature USB Type-C port, the OPPO F5 is mentioned to still include the MicroUSB 2.0 port.

Last month, we have seen the OPPO F5 smartphone in the leaked images. Looking at the poster images, we can confirm the smartphone to sport 18:9 display on the front with minor bezels. A few days ago, OPPO has officially unveiled the launch date of OPPO F5 as October 26th in the Philippines. Today, we also got know about the launch day of the device in India. It will be launched here in India on November 2nd. Based on the leaks, the company has already shot the OPPO F5 TVC with Sidharth Malhotra.
OPPO has recently launched a new variant of the OPPO F3 smartphone called as Oppo F3 Diwali Limited Edition. It shares similar specifications with the original Oppo F3 but comes in a new Red color. It is available through Amazon India and Oppo’s retail stores across the country. Even the upcoming OPPO F5 might be made available via online and offline stores. Vivo has already launched the Vivo V7 Plus with FullView 18:9 display. Now, the OPPO F5 is said to sport a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with the same 18:9 aspect ratio.
Unlike the Vivo V7 Plus, the OPPO F5 might offer dual camera setup on the front. The teaser images suggest the device to sport a single 20MP sensor on the rear. With minimal bezels on the front, the physical home button will be replaced with on-screen button and the fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the device. Under the hood, we might see Snapdragon 625/630 octa-processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat based ColorOS out of the box.
Along with the Philippines and India, the OPPO F5 will soon launch in Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. As of now, there is no information about the OPPO F5 Plus smartphone. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!

As announced earlier, OPPO has officially launched the selfie-centric OPPO F5 smartphone today in the Indian market. It is the successor to the popular OPPO F3 smartphone launched in the first half of this year. This smartphone is also the first from OPPO to sport 18:9 display. As seen in the teaser images, the OPPO F5 comes with an edge-to-edge display with minimal bezels on all the four sides. Unlike its predecessor, the new OPPO smartphone only features two camera sensors.
It sports a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with the longer 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes powered by MediaTek MT6763T octa-core processor coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage additionally up to 256GB. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat based ColorOS 3.2 out of the box. With all these specifications, the device is backed by a 3,200mAh non-removable battery.
With no space on the front, the company opted for the on-screen navigation buttons and the fingerprint sensor is now placed on the rear. If you find it hard to unlock the device using fingerprint sensor, the company is also offering with facial unlock feature. In terms of optics, the OPPO F5 sports a 16MP shooter on the rear with f/1.8 aperture and a 20MP selfie camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture. For the better-looking selfies, the company also added Artificial Intelligence to the front camera.
The OPPO F5 with 4GB RAM is priced at Rs. 19,990 and comes in Gold and Black color options. On the other hand, the 6GB RAM variant costs Rs. 24,990 and comes in Red and Black color options. The OPPO F5 with 4GB RAM will go on sale starting November 9th. The OPPO F5 6GB edition and the F5 Youth smartphone will be available in the month of December.
