Earlier today, OPPO launched the OPPO A5s smartphone in the Indian market for Rs 9,990. It came with a 6.2-inch waterdrop notch display and is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor. The company is also rumored to launch one more smartphone called OPPO A1k in the sub Rs 10,000 price segment. According to the latest leaks, the OPPO A1k will be priced at Rs 7,990 and will be officially launched in the coming weeks.
The OPPO A1k also shares a few similarities with the newly launched Realme C2 priced at just Rs 5,999. Both the Realme C2 and OPPO A1k comes with the same a 6.1-inch display with HD+ (1560 x 720 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on both these devices. Under the hood, we will be looking at the 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The OPPO A1k will be coming with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
While the Realme C2 comes with dual camera setup on the rear, the OPPO A1k only sports single rear camera. It offers 13MP camera on the rear with LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with ColorOS 5.2 skin on top. The OPPO A1k is backed powered by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and only comes with a 5V/2A (10W) power adapter for charging.
Just like the Realme C2, the OPPO A1k also misses out the fingerprint scanner. We hope the company at least adds face unlock support. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. While the power button is placed on the right edge, the volume rocker can found on the left edge. The OPPO A1k will be available in Black and Red color options.
