Honor 20 Smartphone Gets 3C Certified, to Support 22.5W Fast Charging

Honor has recently sent out the media invites for the unveiling of its flagship Honor 20 series on May 21st in London. Till now, the company used to launch only one flagship smartphone in the first and second half of every year. Since the company particularly mentioned Honor 20 series, we expect them to launch the rumored Honor 2o Pro alongside the Honor 20. In China, the company will be launching the mid-range Honor 20i under the Honor 20 series. Today, two new Honor smartphones with the model numbers YAL-AL00 and YAL-TL00 are spotted on the Chinese 3C website.
The listing also mentioned these devices to come with the HW-050450C01 charger which was earlier provided with the Honor View 20. We expect these newly listed devices to be the upcoming Honor 20 smartphones and will be coming with the 5V/4.5A (22.5W) fast charging support. Honor’s parent company Huawei recently launched the flagship Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones. While the Huawei P30 Pro came with 40W fast charging support, it is limited to a maximum of 22.5W on the Huawei P30. As of now, there is no information over the wireless charging support on the Honor 20 smartphones.
Based on the leaks, the Honor 20 series will be coming with the flagship 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core processor coupled with 10-core Mali-G76 GPU and dual NPU. In the camera department, the Honor 20 might offer 48MP + 20MP + 8MP triple camera setup on the rear and a 32MP single selfie camera on the front. It is said to pack 3,650mAh non-removable battery and runs on the latest EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. On the other hand, the Honor 20 Pro is rumored to sport 6.1-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution.
It is also said to be the world’s first smartphone to use the Sony IMX600 image sensor. While the official launch date is more than a month away, we should be expecting more and more leaks in the coming weeks. The Honor View 20 (a.k.a Honor V20) launched in December last year is the first Honor smartphone to come with Kirin 980 chipset. It is the world’s first smartphone to come with a punch-hole display and also 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details about the upcoming Honor 20 smartphones!
