Motorola Razr Foldable Smartphone & One Vision Get Bluetooth Certification

Almost all the major smartphone brands are working on foldable smartphones. Samsung all set to sell its Galaxy Fold smartphone in the US. Motorola is also rumored to launch a foldable smartphone with the iconic Razr branding. As per the leaks, the device will be priced at around USD 1500 (approx INR 1,04,000). We have also seen the leaked Razr logo in purplish color. All the foldable smartphones announced till date came with the flagship 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. However, Motorola’s Razr foldable smartphone is rumored to feature the mid-range 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform.

Now, the Motorola One Vision with the model number XT1970 and the 2019 Motorola Razr with the model number XT2000 are spotted online. Both these devices are now certified by Bluetooth SIG and come with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. From the listings, we can confirm the Motorola Razr (2019) to be exclusive to Verizon in the US. The current Moto Z smartphones are also exclusively sold via Verizon Wireless. On the other hand, the Motorola One Vision will be running on the Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Just like the earlier launched Motorola One and Motorola One Power, this new device will also join the Android One family.

Based on the earlier leaks, the new Motorola Razr will be coming with dual displays – 6.2-inch primary display with 876 x 2142 pixels resolution and smaller secondary display with 600 x 800 pixels resolution. It will be coming in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage respectively. The device will be kept powered on by a 2,730mAh battery which might come with 27W turbocharging. With such a small battery capacity, we don’t think the device with dual displays will last till the day end. Since nothing is yet officially confirmed by the company, take these details with a pinch of salt.

Coming to the Motorola One Vision, it could become the first Motorola smartphone to use Samsung’s Exynos chipset. It is leaked to feature the 10nm Exynos 9610 octa-core processor along with a 6.2-inch punch-hole display offering Full HD+ resolution. From the leaked images, we can clearly see the dual camera setup and a circular fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device. The device will come equipped with the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor for its primary camera. It will be backed by a 3,500mAh non-removable battery and might support 27W Turbo Charging which was first introduced with the newly launched Moto G7 Plus smartphone.

Since the earlier Motorola One smartphones are made available in India, we can surely expect them to bring the Motorola One Vision to the Indian market. However, the Motorola Razr foldable smartphone with hefty price tag might find itself in the competition with other foldable smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X. While the Samsung Galaxy Fold is confirmed to launch in India, we don’t think Motorola will be selling its foldable smartphone locally. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
