Earlier: Oct 26, 2015 – The scheduled launch event of OnePlus X is just a few days away, and a poster image of the device is leaked on Weibo. Apart from the front facing look of the device, the image also consists the pricing of the device. The image suggests the device to be priced at 1699 Yuan (approx Rs. 17,500) which seems to be a deal killer.

Our First Impressions Video:

With such a high pricing, the users would be definitely confused in choosing between OnePlus X and OnePlus 2. The OnePlus 2 is priced Rs. 25,000 and offers unmatched specifications when compared to OnePlus X. Since the company hasn’t confirmed pricing, take this with a pinch of salt.

Earlier: Oct 15, 2015 – After several rumors and leaks about the upcoming budget smartphone from OnePlus, the name of the device is to be confirmed as OnePlus X. As earlier leaked, the device is to called as either OnePlus X  or OnePlus Mini, but now we came to know that these both are totally different devices. The OnePlus X comes with the model number E1001 and is expected to be priced around $250. Today, the famous Chinese leakster, Leaksfly has posted on his official Weibo account suggesting the price of OnePlus X should be around 1,399 Yuan (approx $220/ Rs.14,300). If this comes true, OnePlus X will be the best device that can compete against the likes of recently launched Xiaomi Mi4c.

The device comes powered by Snapdragon 801 instead of the Helio X10 processor. This is the same chipset that was earlier used in the OnePlus One. Recently the Lenovo backed ZUK also debuted with Snapdragon 801 powered ZUK Z1 smartphone. The TENAA listing suggests the device to sport 3GB of RAM but as per our trusted source, the device will be launched with only 2GB of RAM.

It has 2,450mAh battery that can easily last for a single day of mixed usage. On the camera front, it has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and PDAF fast focus. It also has a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The NFC, which is missing on the OnePlus 2, is expected to be added to this device.

The Alert Slider that was first seen on the OnePlus 2 is passed on to this device. With the lower pricing, the OnePlus might be left out with no other option than opting for the Plastic body. As of now we can confirm that there will be no fingerprint sensor and the dual camera setup as seen on the early leaked image.

It comes with a 1.2w stereo speaker that is placed on the bottom edge of the device along with the USB Type-C port. The Synaptics S3708 touchscreen controller which gives same haptic feedback as the Apple’s 3D Touch is also rumored to be included in this device. Yesterday in an event held in Bengaluru, Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus announced their plans to manufacture smartphones in India.

The company will be manufacturing their upcoming smartphones in India which indicates that the OnePlus X will be the first device to be manufactured in India. Until now, the company had sold more than 2,50,000 units of Oneplus One alone in India. The company also sold 15,000 units of  OnePlus 2 in just first 12 minutes of the open sale held on Amazon India. The OnePlus X will be officially unveiled on October 29th in six different cities all over the world. The event will be held in New Delhi, New York, San Fransico, London, Beijing, and Jakarta. Stay tuned for more information.
