We have seen quite a few launches from the Chinese manufacturers in the month of October. Today, one more Chinese brand OPPO had launched its the second device in this month. Earlier the company has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone OPPO R7s with 4GB of RAM. This is the fourth smartphone in the R7 series and also continues the same design as seen on the previous R7 models. Unlike the OPPO R7s, the latest device OPPO Neo 7 comes with mid-range specs. It is the successor for Neo 5 and Neo 5s that are launched earlier this year. It sports a 5-inch display with qHD resolution and is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor.
Commenting on the launch Mike Wang, CEO, OPPO Mobiles India said, “OPPO is known worldwide for pioneering technologies and designs and our newest addition in Neo family, Neo 7 is perfect interpretation of it. Neo series has generated positive response in the past and we are confident that with the classic mirror like design and innovative features, it will cater to target consumer who look for latest features at an attractive price.”
It has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with MicroSD card slot support 128GB. The major improvements on this device can be seen in the camera department, it comes with an 8MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and LED flash, on the front it has a 5MP front-facing camera. For better selfies in the dark, the company also included the virtual flash option which turns your display to its maximum brightness when capturing a selfie.
The device is backed by a 2,420mAh battery. It runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop based ColorOS 2.1. It comes with a metallic frame with glass on rear and front of the device that can make it a fingerprint magnet. The device will be available in Ivory White and Midnight Blue colors. It will be launched in the Indian market on October 28th and will be followed by the launches in 17 other countries.
The device is priced at Rs,9,990 and will be available in the market by the end of this month. Gionee, another Chinese smartphone manufacturer, had announced November 16 as the launch date of premium mid-ranger Elife S6. The device is rumored to measure just 6mm thick and weigh around 124 grams.
