Xiaomi launched the Mi Air Purifier 2 along with Mi Band 2 in India in September 2016. Now in September 2018, the company is launching the Mi Air Purifier 2S and Mi Band 3. While the new Mi Air Purifier 2S looks similar to its predecessor, it now comes with an OLED display and few new features. In terms of design, it looks very much similar to the other Mi Air Purifiers with tower design.
The OLED display is the new addition to the Mi Air Purifier 2S which shows data like PM2.5, temperature, and humidity levels. With the light sensor, the brightness of the display will be automatically adjusted. It comes with Wi-Fi connectivity and can be paired with the Mi Home app for remote controlling. Also, the Mi Air Purifier 2S can be controlled with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
However, there is also a physical hardware button to manually control this new Air Purifier. With the high-precision laser sensor, the new Mi Air Purifier 2S can now filter the dust particles with even more accuracy. There are more holes drilled to intake more air and to purify the room more quickly. It is also said to be power efficient with 31W (4.8W in night mode) power consumption.
Talking about the filter, the company mentioned it come with 360-degree layer filter to filter out PM2.5 matters, allergens, and bacteria. Coming to the pricing, the Mi Air Purifier 2S is priced at Rs 8,999 in India. It will be on sale starting tomorrow via Amazon.in, Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Home stores.
