Xiaomi CC9 & CC9e Specifications Leaked, to Launch on July 2nd

Update — Last week, Xiaomi revealed the all-new CC series to launch camera-centric smartphones in China. As per the leaks, the company will be launching the Xiaomi CC9 and CC9e as the first smartphones under this new series. Today, the company has officially confirmed to launch the new CC smartphones on July 2nd in Beijing, China. On the same day, Vivo is also launching the Vivo iQOO Neo smartphone powered by the last-gen Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform. As of now, there is no information about the global availability of these new CC smartphones. The leaks already revealed the complete specifications of both the smartphones along with their pricing.

Earlier (June 23rd, 2019) — Xiaomi recently announced new CC series to launch the smartphones using the Meitu’s camera technology. As per the new leaks, the Xiaomi CC smartphones won’t come with a Meitu logo. Also, the recently teased Meitu smartphone with a triple flip camera setup is completely different from the Xiaomi CC smartphones. Now, the complete specifications and pricing of the Xiaomi CC9 and CC9e smartphones are leaked online.

Both the devices come with a glossy finish body and offer Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. While the Xiaomi CC9 comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on the front, the Xiaomi CC9e offers Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Both the devices sport the 32MP Samsung GD1 sensor on the front for selfies and face unlock. As per the leaks, the Xiaomi CC9 offers Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for the front camera.

The devices also come with an in-display fingerprint scanner on the front. As seen with the POCO smartphones, Xiaomi also offers custom skin on the top of MIUI for the Xiaomi CC series. Talking about the Xiaomi CC9e, it comes with a 5.97-inch AMOLED display with waterdrop notch and Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the device comes powered by 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform and comes coupled with Kryo 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU.

It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The triple camera setup on the rear features a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. It is backed by a 3,500mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging technology. Coming to the Xiaomi CC9, it sports a 6.39-inch waterdrop notch display on the front with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels). It packs the newer 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 470 CPU and Adreno 618 GPU.

Coming to the rear of the Xiaomi CC9, it sports a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 12MP telephoto sensor. It is kept powered on by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and supports 27W fast charging technology. While both the Xiaomi CC9 and CC9e comes with Hi-Res audio certification, only the Xiaomi CC9 sports stereo speaker setup. The Xiaomi CC9 also supports NFC for making mobile payments.

Based on the leaks, the Xiaomi CC9e will retail from CNY 1599 (approx USD 235 / INR 16,000). On the other hand, the base variant of the Xiaomi CC9 with high-end specifications will be costing CNY 2599 (approx USD 380 / INR 26,500).
