Vivo V11 Pro Gets Android 9.0 Pie Update in India

Earlier this year, Vivo launched the Vivo V15 and Vivo V15 Pro smartphones with pop-up selfie cameras. After the launch of its successor, the company also announced a price cut of Rs 2,000 for the Vivo V11 Pro. While the device was launched at Rs 25,990, it is now retailing for Rs 23,990. Also, the company is reportedly rolling out the latest Android 9.0 Pie update for the Vivo V11 Pro in India. While there is no official statement from the company, the users are sharing the screenshots of this new update on Twitter.
Since the OTA updates will be rolled out incrementally, not all the devices will be receiving the latest update on day one. The latest FunTouch OS 9 update comes in 3.11GB size and upgrades the device to Android 9.0 Pie. Once updated, the new UI can be experienced on the home screen and shortcut center. It also brings the system-wide Dark Mode. We will update the complete changelog once our unit gets the update. The device came with Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.5 out of the box.
The Vivo V11 Pro is the first V-series smartphone to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It sports a 6.41-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) and waterdrop notch on the top. Under the hood, it sports 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. It offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The device is powered by a 3,400mAh non-removable battery and supports 9V/2A (18W) fast charging. It came with the dated MicroUSB 2.0 port instead of the USB Type-C port.
In the camera department, the Vivo V11 Pro features 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with f/1.8 aperture and a single 25MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device measures just 7.9mm in thickness and weighs around 156 grams. Recently, the company also rolled out the Android 9.0 Pie-based FunTouch OS 9 update for the Vivo NEX smartphone in China.
