The retro device called the Nokia 8110 4G was bought back to life in 2018 which supports 4G connectivity. Today the users of the device have something to cheer about. Nokia is rolling an update to this phone which brings support for WhatsApp and Facebook. The update to this device comes with the version V15.00.17.03 which runs KaiOS. Although the update is not very big (38MB), the users will be able to download WhatsApp and Facebook applications form the Kaistore.
The update has started rolling out globally and if you have not received it, you can always go to the settings of the phone and head to the system updates section to check if the update is available. Once you receive the update, download it and install but make sure the phone has enough battery before the installation starts. Furthermore, there are reports that Google is working on bringing its touchless feature on this device, which we should be knowing soon.
After receiving the update, the user needs to go to the KaiStore from their phone and download WhatsApp and Facebook and start using them to keep in touch with family and friends as well. The device runs on KaiOS which is a forked version of Firefox OS. We already know that Google as invested in the company and bought many of its products like Maps, Assistant, Search and YouTube are integrated into the OS.
Taking about this phone, this device comes with a small 2.4-inch display with 240 x 320 resolutions and has 512MB of RAM. There is 4GB of onboard storage on the phone along with a microSD card slot to extended the storage up to a maximum of 32GB.
