Vivo V15 Pro with 48MP Triple Rear Cameras & 32MP Pop-up Selfie Camera Launched

Vivo, the Chinese smartphone maker that ventured into the country back in 2014, has come a long way with a wide range of smartphones catered to different price segments. The company has been the first smartphone brand to bring in the first in-display sensor smartphone – the Vivo X21, last year, followed by the first pop-up selfie camera smartphone – the Vivo Nex the same year. Well, combining both the exciting technologies Vivo has launched its new mid-range smartphone – the Vivo V15 Pro. It comes with a new Spectrum Ripple design-build developed by Vivo and looks distinct from what we have seen in the gradient design-build smartphones earlier.
The Vivo V15 Pro features a 6.39-inch Ultra FullView FHD+ Display, which is a 19.5:9 AMOLED display that offers a screen-to-body ratio of 91.64% without any notch or whatsoever – thanks to the pop-up selfie camera. The selfie shooter that elevates on the front carries a 32MP sensor (with f/1.8 aperture), which pops up whenever you click a selfie or while unlocking your phone with face recognition. The other authentication offered on the Vivo V15 Pro is the new fifth-gen in-display fingerprint scanning technology. Vivo claims that this new fifth-gen sensor features higher fingerprint pixel density and more sophisticated algorithms that allows a more secure unlocking functionality.
Digging into the specifications on the Vivo V15 Pro, this mid-range device is powered by the Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 675 SoC, which is the first phone to feature this new octa-core chipset. In terms of memory, the V15 Pro comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB with the microSD support as well.
On the optics, the Vivo V15 Pro features a Rear Triple camera set up, which are AI-powered. It is equipped with a new 48 Million Quad Pixel Sensor (with f/1.8 aperture) paired with an 8MP (with f/2.4 aperture) AI wide-angle camera and a 5MP depth camera sensor (with f/2.4 aperture). Since these are AI-powered, they come with additional features that include – AI Body shaping to AI Portrait Lighting modes. The featured AI Super Wide Angle camera is claimed to capture a 108 degree angled photo as well.
The Vivo V15 Pro is fuelled by a decent 3700mAh battery that supports dual-engine fast charge technology, developed by Vivo. This new fast charge technology claims to give a power of 29% in a 15-minute charge. On the connectivity front, the Vivo V15 Pro supports – Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 and features micro USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top. And, lastly the mid-range Vivo V15 Pro ships with Android 9.0 Pie-based Funtouch OS 5.0 out-of-the-box. As for the pricing, this flagship feature-packed mid-range Vivo V15 Pro (6GB+128GB) costs Rs 28,990 and will be available as a Flipkart Exclusive. The V15 Pro also features in two new – Topaz Blue and Ruby Red color variants.
