Ever since the launch of Google Pixel 3 devices last month, there were various reports about bugs surfacing on the new devices. The multiple instances reported included a secondary notch bug on the larger Pixel 3 XL and overheating of the new devices while charging leading to unexpected shutdowns. Well, it isn’t stopping yet, there’s a new bug that is reportedly deleting the older text messages on the Pixel devices.
According to Android Police, few of the users have been noticing these disappearing of texts after updating to Android’s latest security update, which was rolled out earlier this month. The new update is leading some of the users to lose their old SMS texts randomly. The report states that both Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL users have been affected with this bug since many of them haven’t backed up these texts for some time now. This random disappearing is causing inconvenience to the users even after the contacting the Google support, they reported no luck in reverting their older texts.
Furthermore, it is still unclear of whether the bug is related to Pixel devices only or only to the messages app, after installing the security update. Google is yet to respond to this text disappearing bug reports alongside a bug affecting Pixel devices where photos captured with the camera aren’t being saved.
