OPPO to Launch Reno Smartphone with 10x Lossless Zoom on April 10th

At the MWC 2019, OPPO showcased its new 10x lossless zoom technology using the periscope-style telephoto camera. Last week, the company also confirmed to launch a new smartphone with this new technology in the month of April. Now, the company has officially confirmed to introduce a new flagship series called Reno in China on April 10th. While OPPO hasn’t mentioned about the 10x lossless zoom technology, it has already hinted to introduce this new camera technology under a new smartphone series.
Recently, we have also seen an unknown OPPO smartphone with the model number OP46C3 getting listed on Antutu. The OPPO Reno smartphone might come powered by the 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. The variant listed on Antutu comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. While there is no information about the screen size, the device comes with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution.
It will be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Color OS 6.0 laid on top. The listing also mentioned the Antutu score as 3,65,246 for the upcoming OPPO flagship smartphone. On the rear, the device comes with a triple camera with dual OIS and 10x optical zoom. It also supports up to 20x digital zoom where we will be noticing some loss in details. While the device comes with Snapdragon 855, we can’t confirm the about the 5G support for this device.
BKK’s Vivo also recently launched a new flagship series called iQOO in China. The first smartphone is named as Vivo iQOO and is priced very competitively at just CNY 2998 for the base variant. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform and includes 4000mAh battery with 44W super fast charging technology. Though the device looks stylish with the curved glass body, it was more targeted towards smartphone gamers with the gaming-centric features. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
