At the OPPO Innovation Event 2019 held in Barcelona, OPPO showcased the all-new 10x lossless zoom technology and features built for 5G connectivity. During the presentation, the company announced to launch a new smartphone with the 10x lossless zoom technology in Q2 2019. Today, the company has officially confirmed the launch event to be held next month in China. Last year, the company launched the OPPO Find X smartphone with flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset and stealth cameras.

However, the upcoming flagship OPPO smartphone will be launched under a new series. According to Brian Shen, Vice President at OPPO, the device will come powered by the latest 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform featuring Kryo 485 CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. It is mentioned to sport 4065mAh battery with super fast charging support. We expect the device to come with 10V/5A (50W) Super VOOC flash charge support.

Coming to the cameras, the device will come with a triple camera setup on the rear with no camera bump. It will come with a 48MP primary sensor along with an ultra wide-angle sensor and a telephoto sensor. The telephoto sensor will use the periscope-like lens setup for the 10x lossless zoom. The user can further get up to 20x digital zoom where there will be a loss in quality. It should be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Color OS 6.0 skin on top.

The device will be using the USB Type-C port for charging and we hope the company retains the 3.5mm audio jack. Last year’s OPPO Find X not only omitted 3.5mm audio jack but also the fingerprint scanner. With its upcoming flagship smartphone, the device might offer in-display fingerprint scanner along with face unlock option. While there is no other information available about this new device, we should be seeing more leaks in the coming days. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
