OPPO will be unveiling the new Reno smartphone on April 10th in China. Lately, we are seeing several leaks about this device. The company has already confirmed to introduce the 10x lossless zoom technology with the OPPO Reno smartphone. This new technology was first showcased at the MWC 2019 held last month in Barcelona. While the recent rumors suggested the company to launch five variants of OPPO Reno, it is now officially confirmed to come only in two variants.
The standard version comes powered by the flagship 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. On the other hand, the lite variant will be backed by 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform. Apart from the different processors, we have no idea about the differences between these two variants. We expect both the devices to come with the same design and same camera setup.
The OPPO Reno will sport 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor along with 120-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor and periscope style telephoto sensor. It comes with curved glass body, and there will be no camera bump. While there is no confirmation about the screen size or resolution, the display on this device is mentioned to offer 93.1% screen-to-body ratio. We will mostly see waterdrop notch display on the front. Also, the device will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Last year, the company introduced 50W SuperVOOC flash charge technology. However, the upcoming Reno is said to come with the all-new VOOC 3.0 flash charge technology. We have to wait until the official launch date for the complete specifications of the device. Since the company launched the flagship Find X in India, we are also hoping to see the OPPO Reno in India in the coming months. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
