OPPO will be unveiling its new Reno lineup of smartphones on April 10th in China. There are already leaks that the company will launch Lamborghini Edition and 5G variants of OPPO Reno smartphone alongside the standard 4G LTE variant. Now, the patent listing from the website of European Union Intellectual Property Office revealed five different OPPO Reno smartphone. The company has applied trademarks for Reno Pro, Reno Plus, Reno Zoom, Reno Lite, and Reno Youth.
Even with the trademarks registered, it is not confirmed that the company will launch all these smartphones. We have to till April 10th to know about the upcoming OPPO Reno smartphones. The OPPO Reno Zoom might be the only model that comes with the periscope-style telephoto camera for offering 10x lossless zoom. Based on the naming, we expect the OPPO Reno Pro smartphone to come powered by the 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform.
At least, we can confirm that these devices will be running on Android 9.0 Pie based Color OS 6 out of the box. With the Color OS 6, the company is introducing the app drawer which is very rare on Chinese ROMs. Now, the UI uses AI to freeze the background app activity for unused apps for increasing battery life.
