Last year, OPPO launched the OPPO F5, OPPO F5 6GB, and OPPO F5 Youth smartphones with the new 18:9 display technology. Now in 2018, the company is launching a new variant of the OPPO F5 called OPPO F5 Sidharth Limited Edition. It is the same OPPO F5 Dashing Blue edition which was announced in few Southeast Asian markets. According to the teaser video, this new limited edition device will be available starting February 8th in India.
The OPPO F5 was made available in Gold and Black color options and is priced at Rs. 19,990. Unlike the regular OPPO F5, the new OPPO F5 Sidharth Limited Edition in Blue color comes with a glossy finish. Coming to the specifications, we don’t expect to see any changes on this new variant. On the front, we will be looking at a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with the 18:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood is the 16nm MediaTek Helio P23 octa-core processor coupled Mali-G71 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It includes 32GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card. Talking about the cameras, there is a 16MP camera on the rear with f/1.8 aperture and a 20MP camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture for selfies. It is backed by a 3,200mAh non-removable battery and lacks fast charging support.
The device should be still running on the Android 7.1 Nougat based ColorOS out of the box. OPPO is also Face Unlock alongside the fingerprint sensor on these OPPO F5 smartphones. Recently, the company launched the OPPO A83 smartphone in India for Rs. 13,990. It came only with Face Unlock and missed the fingerprint sensor. Talking about the OPPO F5 Sidharth Limited Edition, more details will be known on the launch day.
