OPPO A9 has finally forayed into India ahead of OPPO K3 launch. The new mid-range phone from OPPO has earlier been launched in the Chinese markets. The OPPO A9 is the new entrant in the Chinese manufacturer’s latest ‘A’ series. Earlier reports have suggested that the new OPPO A9 device is set for launch in the country by the end of this month.
And, as suggested OPPO has brought the OPPO A9 that features a 6.5-inch waterdrop notch display. The phone comes with a Full HD+ resolution (2340×1080 pixels), which further achieves a screen-to-body-ratio of 90.7%. The display also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The display is enclosed in a 3D Gradient curved body build. The gradient color finished OPPO A9 will be featuring in Marble Green and Fluorite Purple color variants.
Under the hood, the OPPO A9 is powered by an Helio P70 SoC with Mali-G72 GPU — followed by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. For gaming, the OPPO A9 features HyperBoost mode, which is said to increase the performance when needed, especially during gaming sessions.
For optics, the OPPO A9 features dual rear cameras comprising of a 16MP primary sensor along with f/1.8 aperture and accompanied by a 2MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. Upfront, the waterdrop notch carries a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. These cameras come with a bunch of noticeable modes that include — Beautification, HDR, Panorama and Ultra Night Mode for better low light photography. For video, both the cameras support video recording of up to 1080p.
The OPPO A9 is kept alive by a decent 4020mAH battery, and the device further ships with Android 9.0 Pie-based ColorOS 6 out-of-the-box, which includes few of the latest features like Swipe-up Gesture Navigation, Smart Assistant and Smart Ride mode and more. For authentication, the device features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The connectivity options of the new OPPO A9 include Dual SIM, WI-Fi, supports Bluetooth 4.2 and is also OTG supported as well.
