New OPPO K3 Teased on Amazon India, the device to come with Full Screen AMOLED display

Back in May, OPPO has launched its successor to the OPPO K1 smartphone — the OPPO K3 in China. While the former was the most affordable mid-range featuring an in-display fingerprint sensor, the new K3 brings a pop-up camera for the mid-range segment as well. The OPPO K3 brings a familiar design as we have seen on the company’s latest Reno series. Well, the device has been launched in the Chinese markets over a month ago, a new Amazon teaser from the company indicates the launch of OPPO K3 is imminent in India too.

With Amazon Prime day ahead in a couple of weeks, OPPO has teased its new mid-range device launch on the e-commerce platform. The teaser image hints us OPPO 3.0 (the device could be having VOOC 3.0 support) that is said to be featuring a Full-Screen AMOLED display with a screen-to-body-ratio of 91.1%. The OPPO K3 variant launched in China earlier also comes with the aforementioned features with which it is safe to say that the teaser image is highly likely the new midrange OPPO K3 device.

It has further hinted that the device’ display comes with Corning Glass 5 protection and is said to be having an Eye protection mode (Night Eye Protection) as well, again, the same features available in the Chinese OPPO K3 variant.

For those unaware, the OPPO K3 launched earlier came with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display and the device packs in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 SoC with Adreno 616 GPU. The Chinese variant was launched in three storage variants 6GB+64GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB. For cameras, the device features dual rear cameras — 16MP primary camera and 2MP depth-sensing camera and on the front — a 16MP pop-up selfie shooter as well. It ships with Android 9.0 Pie-base Color OS6 that has additional features including the teased Night eye protection as well.

And lastly, the OPPO K3 is powered by a 3765mAh battery that supports company’s VOOC 3.0 fast charge. As for pricing, the OPPO K3was launched in China starting at CNY 1599 (Rs 16,000 approx) for the base variant. We can expect a similar price bracket in India launch as well. With Prime Day ahead for Amazon i.e., July 15-16, we could know more about the K3 launch form OPPO. Stay connected to PhoneRadar for more such interesting updates.
