OPPO India has introduced its new smartphone line-up of K series by launching the new OPPO K1 smartphone. The new mid-ranger from the company features an in-display fingerprint scanner along with an AMOLED display built in a glossy color gradient finish build body. The OPPO K1 will be available for sale next week, and it would be interesting to see how it performs in the highly competitive segment.
As for the specifications, the OPPO K1 emphasizes a 6.41-inch AMOLED Full HD+ water drop notch display, similar to what we have seen in the earlier OPPO phones portfolio. It offers a screen-to-body-ratio of 91% and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The company further claims that this device can withstand drops of up to 1.6m as well.
Under the hood, the OPPO K1 packs in the mid-range Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The K1 features dual cameras on the rear that comprises of a 16MP and a 2MP primary and secondary sensors. The cameras come with OPPO’s AI beautification, and AR powered Stickers. On the front, the K1 hosts a 25MP AI selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. Furthermore, the device ships with Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 out-of-the-box. As stated along with the in-display fingerprint scanner, the K1 also features Face Unlock for authentication. And lastly, the OPPO K1 is kept alive by a 3600mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, the dual VoLTE powered OPPO K1 supports Bluetooth 5.0, features a micro USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack. As for the pricing, the OPPO K1 will be available from 12th of this month as a Flipkart Exclusive with a price tag of Rs 16,990 and the phone will be featuring in Piano Black and Astral Blue color variants.
