Who wouldn’t know the original Motorola RAZR cellphone? I guess everyone would since it is one of the most popular phones of its time. According to a report, the device is set to make a come back next month with a new design in the premium segment. According to Wall Street Journal, Lenovo owned Motorola brand is likely launching its RAZR smartphone with a foldable display in February 2019 and it could be priced at $1500.
The report also claims that Lenovo has been working with US telecom operator Verizon to launch a phone in February and could bring back RAZR smartphone. Although there is no official confirmation on this yet, we might get to hear from them soon. The Motorola RAZR was originally released in 2004 with the name RAZR V3 with an ultra-thin stylish design and also sold over 120 million units in four years.
Back in 2011 and 2012, Motorola teamed up with Verizon to bring back the RAZR brand and launched Droid Razr Android Smartphone with a thin design and it was also the thinnest mobile phone in the world at its launch time. The upcoming device is still under testing and all the details are not yet finalized. In the recently concluded CES, we have seen Royole FlexPai which is the worlds first foldable smartphone.
The South Korean giant is also making a foldable smartphone and the Galaxy F device is expected to be showcased soon. Many other smartphone makers are also making foldable smartphone and might be launching them in 2019. Well, we need to wait a few more days to actually see what Motorola is planning and expect more specs to be revealed.
