LG V40 ThinQ has been in the rumors mills from a long time. Today, the company has officially confirmed to launch the LG V40 ThinQ on October 3rd in New York. The LG V40 ThinQ will be the third V-series device with ThinQ branding. Earlier to this, the company has launched the LG V30S ThinQ and LG V35 ThinQ smartphones. With the upcoming LG V40 ThinQ, the company will be offering a total of 5 cameras. A triple camera setup on the rear and a dual camera setup on the front.
There are already smartphones with triple rear cameras or dual front cameras. The LG V40 ThinQ will be the first smartphone to feature both of them. The LG V10, company’s first V-series device, came with dual cameras on the front. While the dual front cameras on V10 are used for capturing 120-degree wide-angle selfies, the later launched LG smartphones with a single selfie camera are able to capture 80-degree wide-angle selfies.
Let’s see how the company uses all the five sensors. Based on the leaks, the tripe camera setup on the rear features a 12MP RGB sensor with f/1.5 aperture, 16MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.9 aperture, and a 12MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the LG V40 ThinQ sports 8MP & 5MP dual cameras. Talking about the other specifications, the LG V40 ThinQ will be coming with a 6.4-inch Full Vision AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the device comes powered by 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 630 GPU and 6GB of RAM. While the LG V40 ThinQ will offer 64GB of internal storage, the V40+ ThinQ comes with 128GB of internal storage. The device will be coming with a fingerprint sensor and also supports face unlock. It will be both IP68 & MIL-STD 810G certified for water resistance and durability. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
