Last month, Realme launched a new smartphone called Realme 2 in India. Till date, the company has sold a total of 3,70,000 Realme 2 devices in the first two flash sales. While the naming indicates the Realme 2 to be the successor to Helio P60- powered Realme 1, it actually came with trimmed down specifications. Instead, the Realme 2 Pro will be the successor to the Realme 1. As of now, there isn’t much information available about this upcoming device.

However, the company now sent the media invites for the launch of Realme 2 Pro confirming the launch date as September 27th. Based on the rumors, the Realme 2 Pro is said to come with a Snapdragon 600-series chipset. The Realme 2 Pro with superior specifications will be the costliest Realme phone, but still costs less than Rs 15,000 mark. Since there is no source backing these rumors, take them with a pinch of salt.

As seen with the Realme 2, the upcoming Realme 2 Pro will also be exclusive to Flipkart. FYI, the Realme 1 was Amazon-exclusive in India. While the recently launched Redmi 6 Pro powered by a 2-year old processor and single 4G SIM support is ridiculously priced at Rs 10,999, the Realme 2 Pro with better specifications will surely be a great alternative. The device should continue to come with Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS out of the box. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
