After the launch of the Vibe C2 recently, Lenovo launched yet another budget smartphone. The device is called the Vibe A, and the company announced it rather quietly only in Russia. This is a successor to the A1000 which was launched last year. Looking at the naming of this smartphone, it apprears to be first of many smartphones which will be joining this line-up. However, the specifications of this smartphone looks lower than the low-end smartphone you would find in the market today.
Loking at the specifications, the Lenovo Vibe A has a 4-inch 800 x 400 resolution. The device is powered by a Spreadtrum SC7731 SoC, which is a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and this will be coupled with half a gigabyte of RAM. It has 4GB expandable storage. On the camera side, we are looking at a 5-megapixel fixed focus camera and a 0.3-megpixel front facing shooter. The device will be powered by a 1,700 mAh battery and will run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
The smartphone will have dual-SIM capability in some select markets, but don’t expect it to support 4G LTE networks. The device weighs in at about 132 grams and measures 10.6 mm in thickness. The device will be available in black and white color options. Other Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. Pricing is not known yet at this point.
The company recently launched the new Vibe C2, which is also a budget offering from the company with decent specifications. It has a 5-inch display with HD resolution and is powered by a quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and supports LTE connectivity. Also we don’t have any confirmations from the company as to when will Vibe A be launching in India nor do we know anyting about its pricing. Stay tuned for more information on this as will be updating the article once we have something about the device.
