Lenovo Vibe C2 with Quad-core SoC & 8-megapixel camera launched

Previously we saw the rumor about the Lenovo Vibe C2 being launched as a replacement to Moto E smartphone. Well, it was quite the news, but apparently, that is not true. Lenovo Russia announced the Vibe C2 and as it turns out that it is not a replacement to the Moto E as expected after all. Yes, the Lenovo Vibe C2 is a standalone smartphone which will be sold by Lenovo and has nothing to do with the Moto E series.

The Lenovo Vibe C2 was published on the Lenovo Russia website and will soon launch in the country. Taking a look at the site, we have the full specifications list of the device as well. This smartphone will pack a 5-inch HD display coming at 720p resolution. It will be powered by MT6735P with a quad-core 1.0GHz Cortex-A53 processor and will have Mali-T720MP2 graphic co-processor. The device will pack 1GB of RAM with 8GB or 16GB of internal storage with microSD card expandability, which is supported up to 32GB for added storage capacity. This dual-SIM handset will support LTE connectivity.

On the camera side, we have an 8-megapixel rear facing camera and a 5-megapixel front facing snapper. The device will be powered by a 2,750 mAh battery, which should easily last through a day worth of use. The device will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Vibe UI on top of it. The device will be available to purchase in black and white color options. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4, FM, 3G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.

At this point, we don’t have any official information about the device’s launch and pricing in other markets outside Russia, but we are expecting a word from the company soon, and w expect the device will be launched soon in India as well. This device will be a successor to the previously launched Lenovo Vibe C, which has a 5-inch display and is powered by a Snapdragon 210 chipset.
