Earlier this week, Redmi launched the Redmi k20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones in China. Later, Xiaomi also teased to launch the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro smartphones in the international markets. However, the teaser image of the Mi 9T revealed the back design which looks completely different to Redmi k20 series. Now, the newly leaked live image of the device hints it could come with the same hardware as the Redmi K20. Apart from the different gradient design, the Mi 9T and Redmi K20 might share the same features and specifications.
Depending on the market conditions, the Redmi K20 is rumored to be launched as Mi 9T or POCO F2 and Redmi K20 Pro as Mi 9T Pro or POCO F2 Pro. Talking about the Mi 9T, the leaked image confirms the device to 6.39-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner on the rear. Instead of the front-facing selfie camera, it now comes with a pop-up camera on the top. Under the hood, the device comes powered by the 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
It is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and supports 18W fast charging, Talking about the cameras, the Mi 9T is mentioned to come with a 48MP AI triple camera setup on the rear and a 20MP popo-up selfie camera. All these specifications are exactly the same as the recently launched Redmi K20 smartphone. It will be coming with a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor with f/1.75 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C port.
