Just yesterday, Xiaomi’s Redmi has launched the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones in China. Now, the latest reports suggest the company to launch the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro as Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro in Russia. While no exact launch date is mentioned, the company will be unveiling these two new models in the month of June. We need to wait for few more days to get more details about the Mi 9T smartphones. Xiaomi also confirmed to launch the Redmi K20 smartphones in the Indian market.
Both the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro looks exactly the same. While the Redmi K20 comes powered by 8nm Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform, the Redmi K20 Pro packs 7nm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. Both the devices offer up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Both the devices come with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with no notch or bezels. The display on both the devices offer 91.9% screen-to-body ratio.
For selfies, there is a pop-up camera on the top featuring a 20MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. On the rear, both the Redmi K20 smartphones come with a triple camera setup featuring 48MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.75 aperture, 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. While the Redmi K20 Pro uses a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, the Redmi K20 is equipped with a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor. The Redmi K20 Pro also comes with a dedicated DAC for Hi-Fi audio output.
Both the smartphones are backed by a 4000mAh non-removable battery. While the Redmi K20 Pro supports 27W fast charging, it is limited 18W on the Redmi K20. The devices will be available in Carbon Fiber Black, Flame Red, and Glacier Blue color options. In China, the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro will be available from CNY 1999 and CNY 2499 respectively.
