Earlier this week, Motorola launched the Moto Z4 smartphone with the mid-range specifications. While we have been seeing leaks about the Moto Z4 Play, the company is also rumored to launch the Moto Z4 Force. Now, the company has officially confirmed that there won’t be any new Moto Z smartphones launching in 2019. The company usually launches these Moto Z smartphones as Verizon-exclusive Droid edition in the US. With the Moto Z series, the company offers Moto Mods which add a lot more functionalities with a wide-range Mods already available in the market.
Unlike the Moto G series, the Moto Z smartphones have never been able to capture a wider audience. They were always been limited to a small niche of early adopters. While there is no confirmation as of now, we can expect the Moto Z to hit the dead end very soon. As per the earlier leaks, the Motorola is rumored to launch the Moto Razr foldable smartphone. Instead of using the flagship Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform, the leaks suggest the Moto Razr to come powered by Snapdragon 700 series chipset.
The recently launched Moto Z4 came powered by 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform. However, it still supports 5G connectivity using the 5G Moto Mod launched in 2018. The company is also providing a Moto 360 camera mod for free with every unit. It comes with a 6000-series aluminum frame and sports 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front. The Moto Z4 sports a 6.4-inch OLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio.
Talking about the cameras, the Moto Z4 sports a single 48MP camera on the rear with OIS, f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, Laser Autofocus, dual LED flash. For selfies, there is a 25MP camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture. The device is backed by a 3,600mAh non-removable battery and supports 15W TurboPower fast charging technology. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.
With the P2i nano-coating, the Moto Z4 is also splash-proof. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device. The device runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with minimal changes to stock UI. The Moto Z4 also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
