The year 2016 was not particularly great for smartwatch enthusiasts. Apart from a few manufacturers, not of them launched anything new and even the new ones that were launched were not all that great, to begin with. Apple launched the Apple Watch Series 2 along with the new iPhones, and ASUS launched the new ASUS Zenwatch 3. Even Samsung launched their new Gear S3 watches but none of them brought anything new to the table. Hence it is safe to say that 2016 was rather slow for smartwatches as a whole. This year, on the other hand, it is expected that the smartwatches will hit back strong and LG already have its variant ready for the launch.
According to the new leak by Evan Blass, a trusted source posted an image with two new watches from LG. It has been reported that these are going to be called the LG Watch Style. This image comes just after a couple of days since we got our first look at the watch. Taking a look at the image, we can see the watch in two colors. The one on the top is a silver variant whereas the one at the bottom is a rose gold variant. Both the watches, however, has the same leather bands which look quite good from the image. No other info was out with the image this time, but we do have some specs from the past.

The LG Watch style is expected to feature a 1.2-inch 360×360 AMOLED display on the front along with 512MB of RAM. No word on the SoC is out yet, but the whole package is expected to be powered by a 240 mAh battery. The LG Watch Style will also ship with Android Wear 2.0 and we might also see some new features such as Android Pay. Previously we got some info about the LG Watch Sports variant as well which is expected to be more powerful in comparison. In fact, the ones who are looking for cellular connectivity should be considering the Sports variant since it will have cellular connectivity as well.
Do make a note that the leaked image of the LG Watch Style does not feature any Google branding whatsoever even though it was said to launch under the Nexus/Pixel branding, etc. Hence we might have to wait longer to get more info on that. Talking about the launch details, it looks like LG will debut both the watches prior to MWC. Stay tuned for info on this.
