itel is one of the few smartphone brands launched by Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings in India. Under the itel brand, The company has been launching entry-level smartphones with the decent specifications for the offline market. The itel S41 is the latest smartphone to be launched in the Indian market. It is priced at Rs. 6,990 and will be sold via offline retail stores across the country. The smartphone will be available in Slate Grey or Obsidian Black color options.
While there are online exclusive smartphones like Redmi 4A which offers much better specifications, the itel S41 is still a better deal compared to other smartphones in the offline market. It comes with a 5-inch IPS display offering HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. On the top of the display is the 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone comes powered by an unknown MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz. It comes with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 32GB. The itel S41 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out fo the box and includes pre-loaded bloatware applications. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the rear of the device. In terms of optics, the smartphone is equipped with an 8MP camera on front and rear of the device. Both the cameras also come accompanied with LED flash. While the rear camera features an autofocus sensor, the selfie camera has a fixed focus sensor.
It is backed by a 2,700mAh removable battery which is rated to give up to 9.86 hours of talk time and lasts up to 68.1 hours on standby mode. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It also supports dual SIM dual standby and offers VoLTE and ViLTE connectivity. At this price, itel is also providing a fingerprint sensor. It is placed on the rear of the device and can be used as a shutter button in the camera app.
