Huawei is in a spree of launching its new smartphones amidst the ongoing ban with the US. The Chinese tech giant has recently unveiled its Huawei P20 Lite (2019) smartphone and late last month its sub-brand Honor has unveiled its Honor 20 series, which has been brought to India today with the launch of Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro and the midrange Honor 20i as well. Huawei is now gearing up to launch its new set of mid-range of smartphones in China this month.

After multiple reports emerging online about the new Huawei Nova 5 and the 5i smartphones, the company has finally announced its launch date, which is set to June 21, wherein the company is bringing the new Huawei Nova 5 series first to the consumers in China.

The company had earlier teased that it would launch the Nova series this month and it has now taken its Weibo account to announce the launch date. While the Nova 5 and the Nova 5i smartphones launch appear to be certain, there might be Nova 5 Pro variant that would be launched with the Nova 5 series on June 21. For the past few weeks, there were several leaks and TENAA certifications being circulated online suggesting us on what to expect from the Huawei Nova 5 and the 5i smartphones.

As for the leaked specifications, the Nova 5i is expected to come with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display and to be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC. If this happens to be accurate, then it would be amongst the other Huawei phones that are featuring the same chipset, which released this year that include – Huawei Maimang 8, Huawei P20 Lite (2019), Huawei Y9 (2019), Huawei P30 Lite and other Honor phones including the newly released Honor 20i. As for the cameras, the Nova 5i is said to be coming with quad rear camera setup featuring a 24MP primary sensor. The device is further said to be powered by a 3900mAh battery as well, suggests the leaks.

These leaks of the supposedly Huawei Nova 5 and the 5i might be speculative and not one-hundred percent true always, henceforth we have to wait until 21st of this month and see what Huawei has to bring with these new mid-range Huawei Nova 5 series. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more such interesting updates.
