In the last few weeks, we have seen several leaks about the Nova 5 smartphones. Today, the company has posted a teaser video revealing the new logo of the Nova series. It also confirms the launch of the upcoming Nova 5 series. As of now, no other official details are revealed by the company. However, a new Huawei smartphone is now certified by China’s TENAA. It comes with the model number GLK-AL00 and is rumored to be launched as Nova 5i.
As per leaks, the company might launch three smartphones under the Nova 5 series – Nova 5i, Nova 5, and Nova 5 Pro. While the key specifications of the device are revealed, the images are not yet added to the listing. Talking about the specifications, it sports a 6.4-inch with Full HD+ (2310 x 1080 pixels) resolution. While the other Nova 5 smartphones are leaked to sport punch-hole display, the Nova 5 might comes with a waterdrop notch display.
It might come packed with the same old Kirin 710 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. However, there are also chances that the company might introduce the all-new Kirin 720 chipset with the Nova 5 series. The Nova 5i comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB of internal storage. There is no MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. However, it comes with the 3.5mm audio jack for connecting regular earphones and headphones.
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with EMUI 9.0 skin laid on top. Coming to the cameras, the Nova 5i sports quad camera setup on the rear featuring a 24MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP sensors. For selfies, there is a 24MP single camera on the front. It is backed by a 3,900mAh non-removable battery and might come with 5V/2A (10W) charging adapter. It measures 159.1 x 75.9 x 8.3 mm and weighs 178 grams. As per the TENAA listing, the Nova 5i will be available in Black, Red, and Blue color options. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
