Just yesterday, we came to know about the specifications of the upcoming Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 smartphones. Today, Asus has officially confirmed to launch the Zenfone Max Pro M2 smartphone on December 11th in Indonesia. It will be the successor to the popular Zenfone Max Pro M1 which was launched in April this year. While both the Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 are leaked online, the company has mentioned only about the Zenfone Max Pro M2 in the teaser image.
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 will be coming with the model numbers ZB631KL & ZB634KL (Indian unit). While the Zenfone Max Pro M1 came with the metal unibody design, the upcoming Zenfone Max Pro M2 might come with glossy finish body. Based on the leaks, it sports 6-inch Full HD+ display and packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform. Interestingly, the company is promoting the device as a gaming smartphone.
In terms of optics, the device might come with triple cameras on the rear and a single camera on the front. It will also become the most affordable triple camera smartphone in the market. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 will be competing with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro smartphone. The Redmi Note 6 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform and sports dual cameras on the front and rear.
While the Redmi Note 6 Pro runs on MIUI filled with Ads, we hope the Zenfone Max Pro M2 will continue to run on the stock Android OS.
