Android 9.0 Pie Update starting to roll out for Galaxy A8+ Users

Launched in August last year, the Galaxy A8+ devices have started receiving the Android 9.0 Pie update that brings notable features to the Samsung Experience. As promised by the Korean tech giant – the Galaxy A8+ users have begun receiving Google’s latest Android Pie.
Samsung has improved rolling out latest updates to last year released phones that are not only flagship phones but also the mid and higher mid-range phones as well. The first rollout of Android Pie update to the Galaxy A8+ devices has been appeared in Russia (spotted by The Android Soul) with an A730FXXU4CSB9 firmware version. Going through the rollout and the model, it appears Samsung had started rolling out the update on a timely basis. And, global A8+ users would also be getting the update sometime soon. Further, the update also brings the new Google’s February Android security patch as well. The other Galaxy A8 that shares the identical hardware A8+ might also receive the Android Pie update soon.
For those who are unaware, Android Pie on the Galaxy A8+ devices include several new features out of which OneUI is the most prominent one and along with the new UI the update also brings notification improvements, new Samsung Keyboard, Always-on display gets new features, and Phone Settings also get a design overhaul. The complete design overhaul looks much appealing when compared to the previous Samsung Experience Interface.
To recap, the Galaxy A8+ features 6-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display and is powered by Exynos 7885 Octa-core processor. As for storage, the A8+ is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. In terms of optics, it features dual cameras (16MP+8MP) on the front and a 16MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture. The Galaxy A8+ is currently priced at Rs 29,990 on Amazon.
