Acer Iconia One 8 Tablet with MediaTek MT8163 Processor Launched at $100

Soon after announcing the Windows 10 powered Acer Jade Prime smartphone, Acer also unveiled its latest Android tablet ‘Acer Iconia One 8 Tablet‘ with the model number B1-850. The device is limited to just entry-level specifications but more focused on giving features that make the tablet more preferred for kids. It comes with several features like parental controls that limit the usage of this tablet by kids.

The user interface can also be changed according to the age of the kids by using the Kids Center app. Apart from this, the company has provided few other unique features like EZ WakeUp, where the tablet can wake up and open a pre-selected apps with a single and double taps. EZ Snap feature on this tablet makes it easier to capture a screenshot, all you need to do is to make a three-finger pinch, and the screenshot will be saved.

The ‘System Doctor’ app allows to optimize the system functionality, and allows manages the apps. It features an 8-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display and is powered by a MediaTek MT8163 quad-core processor. There is 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to a maximum of 128GB.

It also has a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera with no LED flash support. There is no exact information mentioned about the battery on this tablet, but it is said to give 9 hours of battery life. It will be available in selected markets by the end of this month. The Iconia 8 One tablet comes in Blue and White colors and is priced at $100 in the U.S and €129 for the European markets.
