The Chinese smartphone brand, ZTE launched the Nubia Z11 Mini last month in China. While we expected the company to launch the Nubia Z11 and Nubia Z11 Max along with Z11 Mini, somehow ZTE had skipped the other two devices. Now these two devices are listed on TENAA revealing the design and the specifications. The earlier launched Nubia Z11 Mini came with a glass finish on the back, but the upcoming Nubia Z11 and Z11 Max will sport an all metal body.
The Nubia Z11 comes with a 5.5-inch display but settles with the Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor and we expect it to be the same Snapdragon 617 chipset found on Nubia Z11. The device includes 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally upto 200GB. Interestingly, the Nubia Z11 Mini came with 64GB of onboard storage.
It sports a 16MP autofocus primary camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. The Nubia Z11 Mini also launched with the same camera setup. The 2,800mAh battery on Z11 Mini is slightly increased to 2,900mAh on Z11. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based MiFlavor UI laid on top. The device measures 151.8 x 72.3 x 7.75 mm and weighs 162 grams.
Nubia Z11 Max
As the name suggests Nubia Z11 Max comes with the biggest display among the three, it sports a 6-inch display, but the resolution remains the same at 1080p. We expect the Z11 Max to be powered by Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. The 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera setup is also passed onto this device.
It measures 159.15 x 82.25 x 7.4 mm while the weight is wrongly mentioned as 138 grams. With the bigger form factor, the Nubia Z11 Max packs a bigger 4,000mAh battery and might support Qualcomm’s quick charging. Both the Nubia Z11 and Z11 Max offers 4G LTE with VoLTE support. There is a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the devices, similar to the Z11 Mini.
The rear camera on Nubia Z11 is placed on the top left corner while on Nubia Z11 Max, it is in the middle of the device sitting above the fingerprint sensor. As seen with the Nubia Z9 series, the Nubia Z11 and Z11 Max also comes with bezels-less displays. Since the devices are now certified by TENAA, they will be launched in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more updates!
