ZTE Design Patent reveals Vertically Folding Smartphone

We have been witnessing many foldable devices from past few weeks from different smartphone makers and now, ZTE is getting geared up to bring its foldable device. The company has filed in a patent for a phone which folds vertically like the old clamshell phones. The device can be folded inwards and the upper half of the device is a flexible screen which is shorter the other screen.
From the patent filled on 5th of March 2019, we can see that the device will be featuring two physical buttons on the right side most probable for power and volume controls and there is also a SIM tray to insert a SIM card. On the rear, we can see a dual camera set up along with a LED flash under it that is placed on the center. There is no cut out for a selfie camera in the patent and it should be interesting to see what would ZTE plan for it.
The flexible screen looks to be shorter than the other half which is placed in the bottom and the speaker grills of the device can be seen on either side of the USB Type-C charging port. There is a hinge that can be seen which lets the device to get folded and it is not all one display according to the patent but we should know about it when the handset becomes official.
Prior to this ZTE also bought its Axon M in October 2017 but since it has been banned in the US temporarily and later ZTE also published another patent in December 2018 which was similar to Galaxy Fold from Samsung. It will be interesting to see how this device will turn out to be and when it could be coming into the market. Are you interested to see this device?
